Hi! New to this
I downloaded the Live Chat code and uploaded it to my server. Am I missing something. It didn't work for me and my students. I end up talking to myself which is something I do quite frequently. Seriously does the code work. |

yes the code works. are you getting any errors? do you have a webserver installed?

I uploaded the code to brinkster.com as stated. but nothing. I tried using it with some of my students. They can see what they entered, but no communications between the computers. Where can I go to see the code working. I have PWS installed on my computer and tested it there. I just get the same from the brinkster server. me enter chat room, me leave chat room. I logged in to live chat on this site and got me. If you can help I would appreciate it. I have signed up for another live chat program.

are we talking about the paid version or the free version. I have found a similar product on the net and can't get it to work either. (cookies)

the code works. i just downloaded it, put it on my computer, and me and my flatemate can talk to eachother with it over our network.
maybe your network is'nt working properly? what address are your students using to look at the chat app running on your machine?

posted it on a brinkster.com server. accessed that from classroom, over the net.

if your web server is well configured as you said and going from the idea that your calsmates probabley uses different operating systems, i advise you to look on the services of your operating system and makes them turn on so act like this:
ControlPannel > Administration Touls >Services >Display of messages and let this service tur on "start"
do this for all your clasmates and see the result
since the major Pc when new has this service turned to "No start" position
