Okay, you now have mobile Safari for the iPod, as well as the iPhone. You can also use a number of other web enabled cell phones and devices like PDA's.
Last I heard, each phone for instance, had its own standard and that meant different style sheets etc. for Nokia, Motorola, Samsung, iPhone, and likewise for other mobile devices like PDA’s. I believe there is even a specific set of controls for use in ASP.NET Mobile applications.
So I'd like your opinion, have we reached a point in the mobile web where they standardized the protocols used by mobile devices? If so, what are the standards?
Any suggestions on some good resources regarding considerations for developing mobile web applications to work across a wide number of devices? |
